Ministries

Through the ministries of the church, we grow to be like family.

Kid’s Church

Through Kid’s Church, we aim to nurture young hearts and minds to grow in God’s love.

Children are the future of Jenks Methodist Church. They are included in worship services, and have their own Kid’s Church, too. Children learn about God’s amazing love by looking at the life and teachings of Jesus as the most authentic example. Special events include celebrations, church-wide activities, Vacation Bible School and Fall Festivals.

Children at Jenks Methodist experience God’s love not only through teaching but also through the care and appreciation of all the generations of in the congregations.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

Matthew 5:14-16

Youth Ministry

These are challenging times to be a teenager. The Youth at Jenks Methodist Church benefit from the wisdom and experience of multiple generations. They are nurtured in their faith by their church family. They worship and serve alongside one another in community. Jenks Methodist offers a space for teenagers to explore their faith and connect with others who share their values. Our approach is simple: through worship, service, and fellowship, we empower Jenks youth to grow spiritually and make a positive impact in their community.

Music Ministry

Music is one of the most wonderful gifts to give and meaningful ways to serve. The first Sunday of the month is our traditional service—with a full choir and full communion liturgy. The other Sundays are a mix of contemporary praise and traditional hymns. Practice is on Wednesday night before the first Sunday of the month, 6:30-7:15 pm. Anyone can join, so come for dinner and stay for rehearsal.

Jenks Trojans Football Team

Jenks Methodist is part of a long-standing local tradition. The churches in town take turns hosting the Jenks Trojans Football Team for a wonderful meal after practice. In the spirit of community and in support of young athletes, Jenks Methodist is proud to be a friend of Jenks Public Schools.

Boy Scouts of America

The mission of the Boy Scouts is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes. Jenks Methodist has sponsored Troop 0185 for over 50 years. This troop is a medium sized boy-led troop that meets every Monday from 7:00 - 8:30 pm. They camp every month, have a weeklong camp in the summer and enjoy regular high adventure opportunities.
