Theology for the Rest of Us

with Pastor Ryan

Join us the first Sunday of every month at 9:00 a.m. for coffee, donuts, and an inspiring dive into Theology For The Rest Of Us.

Whether you’re new to faith or have been walking with God for years, there’s a place for you here. No theology degree is required, just an open heart and a desire to learn and grow with others. Together, we’ll uncover God’s purpose for us and deepen our understanding of the scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments.

We can’t wait to see you there!

Discipleship Groups

Discipleship is a shared journey of growing in the faith, modeled after Christ's example with His group of twelve. It’s not something done in solitude; it begins in community, where we encourage, challenge, and walk alongside one another as we follow Jesus together.

Listed below are the discipleship groups active at Jenks Methodist Church.

Disciple Class

Disciple Class

Our Disciple Sunday School class is a warm, welcoming group that meets in the classroom at the front of the sanctuary. We are currently watching "The Chosen" series and exploring the scriptures that correspond with each episode, deepening our understanding of Jesus’ life and ministry through both study and discussion. Our class is friendly, open to all, and actively involved in many church ministries, including monthly community dinners, seasonal carnivals, food bank collections, Jenks Football and Special Olympian team dinners, and numerous committees. If you’re looking for fellowship, meaningful conversation, and opportunities to serve, please come and join us—we’d love to have you!

Tent Class

The Tent Class, JMC’s newest adult Sunday School class, focuses on books of the Bible. The Tent Class was formed in 2025. Participants are currently on an 8-week video course on Psalms, having completed a 12-week course on Genesis.

Open to anyone interested in spiritual growth, fellowship, discussions, and treats, the class also sponsors church dinners and participates in social activities.

Meetings are at 9 AM on Sundays in the Fellowship Hall.

SOS Class

SOS Class

The SOS Class celebrates and studies the Scriptures. Class members lead discussions based on various books read as a class. We focus on Bible-specific materials and topics, including the Ten Commandments, the Gospels, and the Prophets. We also read and discuss books related to Advent and Lent during those seasons.

We’re the “Seniors” of the church, with age groups from the 70s to the late 90s. Despite our age, we’re known for our humor. We contribute to the church’s community dinners by providing one meal annually.

Meetings are at 9 AM in the Fellowship Hall on Sundays in the Sanctuary 2 classroom.

Women's Ministry

Women's Ministry

The Methodist Women’s Ministries (MWM) at Jenks Methodist Church has been a cornerstone of service and fellowship for over 50 years. Our group is dedicated to supporting local charities and individuals in need, including organizations like The Tulsa Girls Home, The Demand Project, and The Jenks Food Bank.

MWM is open to all women seeking spiritual growth, meaningful connections, and a giving heart to serve others. We gather on the third Thursday of each month at JMC for a meal, devotions, and fellowship. Come join us as we grow in faith and make a difference in our community!

Next Gen Youth

Next Gen Youth

Our teen group is a welcoming space where students are encouraged to grow in their faith and orient their lives toward Christ and Scripture, even in a world that often says to go with the flow. At JMC, we are committed to creating a Christ-centered environment where they feel known, valued, and safe to explore and understand their faith.

Partnering with parents, we aim to shape hearts and minds to reflect Jesus, equipping teens to live out their faith with confidence, compassion, and courage.

Next Gen Kids

Next Gen Kids

Our Kids Sunday School is designed to help children grow in their love for God and His Word. Each week begins with worship, followed by a Bible lesson taught book by book to help kids build a strong, lasting foundation in Scripture. Lessons are brought to life with fun crafts and engaging activities that make learning about God exciting and meaningful.

We use The Biggest Story curriculum, which traces the grand story of the Bible and shows how it all points to Jesus. Parents are encouraged to stay connected with what their children are learning as we partner together to disciple the next generation. Children meet downstairs in the Next Gen Kids Room before moving upstairs for Sunday School.

We would love for your family to join us!
